Cromer Hyde Farm, Herts
Size: 40 kWp System
Modules: 230W
Inverters: SMA 10000TL & 15000TL x 2
Annual Output: 35750kWh/year
The system, spread over two buildings, comprises of 174.modules, which are mounted to both a rolling ridge & box profile mounting systems. The two arrays are connected to the local electrical system via SMA Tri-power series inverters and a purpose made distribution board which also contains metering and monitoring equipment. Due to the site having a stand-by generator, the connection of the PV system had to be made via a changeover panel, this would prevent both systems operating simultaneously, causing damage to the back-up generator. To facilitate this, a new supply cable had to be installed through an underground duct some 200M from the position of the system to the point of connection.
An SMA Webbox was fitted which relays data via a GSM mobile connection to the client and our O&M team, enabling us to monitor the system, ensuring that maximum performance is achieved at all times. The system will save nearly 16.5 Tonnes of carbon emissions.
