After an initial enquiry from RCA the building services consultant for the site, eco-Kinetics was asked to provide a business case to the client identifying the benefits of a PV solar system at the site. After careful analysis of the electricity consumption at the site, a design for a 250kWp system installed across three of the buildings curved roofs was put forward for consideration. Care was taken so that the architectural features and structural integrity of the building weren’t compromised.
12.no three phase string inverters were installed to serve the system, these were connected to the existing electrical infrastructure via a custom made relay and contactor panel (G59). This panel also incorporates metering and monitoring equipment. A bespoke monitoring package was produced for the system to allow for detailed analysis and comparisons between inverters.

Coupled with other energy saving measures already implemented at the site, the client has dramatically increased the energy efficiency of the building and provided a source of green electricity for the future.
